PRIVATE CHEF DESIGNS

Denise Luczak
Personal Chef
My first memory is rolling gnocchi at my nana’s (my mother’s mother – the Italian half of me) house in a small town along the Susquehanna River in northeast Pennsylvania. She made many types of fresh pastas and baked goods like punchkies, jelly donuts, etc. Neighbors placed orders and purchased these gastronomic delights. It wasn’t until recently that I realized my nana was an entrepreneur, ahead of her time.
My mother, Marie, is revered as one of the best cooks by those who knew her. Cooking is in my genes.
Growing up in a rural area in the 70’s made me feel restricted. I had and still have an innate wanderlust for traveling the world. In the late 80’s, my law school roommate, Lisa, was an excellent cook and we would have small intimate dinners with close friends. It ignited my desire to “entertain”. And during the 90’s, I lived in South Jersey and was in a relationship with Rob who had a 30 foot Newport sailboat. My passion for boating was born. At the end of 1999, I was lucky enough to discover the world of mega-yachts and an industry that encompassed my love of travel, entertaining and boating. A lawyer turned private yacht chef was born!

It is with great delight that I return to my roots and bring with me 14 years of extraordinary experience in the culinary world. Both law and yachting have honed a level of attention to detail, organization, professionalism and most of all “service” unparalleled in any other industry I have been exposed to. My dear friend and colleague Alene Keenan, recently published the “Yacht Service Bible” and in it states, “It is generally agreed that the level of service on a private yacht is one of the highest levels of service that exists.” I am proud of both my professions and the honor and privilege I have experienced as a result.
Allow me to be of service at your next special occasion.
Humbly,
Denise Marie Luczak
